Development of important standard procedures

Scientific-technical elaboration of the most important standard procedures based on the information from WP #1, implementation of the concept for application in a routine laboratory, as well as an interlaboratory test (in the sense of transferability of the procedures to another laboratory) already in ISO format (details of this step, the exact boundary, which partner, which part takes over cannot be determined yet, but depends on the respective topic or experience). We are evaluating several sources of variation in metabarcoding and metagenomics (e.g. DNA extraction techniques, choice of primers, sequencing approach, bioinformatic data processing) in a factorial laboratory experiment. In principle, each draft will be commented on and discussed by all partners. The results of this evaluation together with the scientific synthesis from WP #1 will allow the formulation of options for action in approach selection for end users.
